Servicing NYC and Long Island
Pillar Support, our program for parents of children with special needs, has just launched an exciting new initiative — the peer-to-peer messaging group. This gives parents a chance to support one another, offering advice, encouragement, and a listening ear when it’s needed most.
In the messaging system, parents who share similar diagnoses can connect, exchange ideas, and offer each other chizuk. It’s a space where everyone understands what the other is going through, creating the comforting feeling of, “We’re all in this together.” Many have even turned their challenges into opportunities for growth, which is inspiring to witness.
Although this initiative was only recently introduced by Mrs. Sury Morgenstern, Pillar Support’s program supervisor, the outpouring of positive feedback has been overwhelming.
Families are already sharing how much the group has helped them, whether through practical advice or emotional support. This group has only been around for a short time yet it’s already making such a meaningful impact on so many lives.
